How many treatments will I need?

From our experience to

  • quit, stop and extinguish smoking will take one session lasting up to two hours.
  • control and manage weight generally takes three sessions.
  • treat fears and phobias will generally take one session.

For more complicated issues, experience suggests these may require six sessions but maybe as many as eight or as few as four.

How regularly should I have treatments/ what gap should I leave between treatments?

Treatment sessions can be as frequent as you wish but Twe would suggest you allow a period of consolidation between sessions to allow a registering of improved/changed behaviour.

What is it like to be hypnotised?

A hypnotic state is as simple as when you're reading a book or watching a film and you reach a point when you have cut out external stimuli and have lost yourself. That's your subconscious taking over, as it has perhaps done when you can't remember driving two junctions on the motorway because you were 'miles away'

When in hypnosis it feels very much like daydreaming but is more focused and you would feel more relaxed. It is like being awake yet in a body which is asleep. In other words it is a combination of a still, clear, attention free mind and a body that is totally relaxed. It allows a sense of well-being and yet reinforces the will to achieve goals.

Are there any possible short term side effects that I should know about?

There are no side effects from hypnosis. The major noticeable effects will be a sense of well being and a welcome change to behaviour(s).

Will I be ok to drive afterwards?

After hypnosis you will be perfectly capable of resuming a normal lifestyle.

How will I feel once I've been hypnotised?

Following hypnotherapy you will feel relaxed, mentally at ease, you will have greater sense of well being (you may even feel euphoric), you will likely notice that things appear the same yet at the same time everything has changed.
